[A year ago…]

It was nearing mid-night. The sky was getting darker and darker with each passing minute and silence filled the streets. No one wandered out at such a late hour, making their plan even easier to be carried out…

It was a foggy, wet, dreary and cold night. Apart from the dim glowing of the lampposts, only the moon stood out in the misty, night sky. Shining down so brightly, as if trying to expose what fate had lay out for Elsa Rose.

“Come follow me…”
a high-pitched voice squealed excitedly as she held onto Elsa’s wrist.

Following behind them were three pairs of feet, trudging against the ground. None of them said anything; they just stared at the unknowing Elsa with a pang of guilt in their hearts.

They lead Elsa into a dark, empty alley.

“Wh—Where are we?”
Elsa stammered, fear evident in her shaky voice.

The person holding onto Elsa’s wrist previously, immediately let go and shoved her roughly onto the ground.

At once, four slender figures flew to her side, blocking all paths of escape. Their tall figures loomed over Elsa like monsters. She was still on the ground, powerless and frantic with terror.

“If you hadn’t steal Zachary away from me, you wouldn’t end up like this. Would
you?”
The same high-pitched voice snarled harshly at Elsa.
The others kept silent, already in their attacking positions.

Elsa bit her lip, and swallowed hard.

“No…”
she mumbled softly.

Hot tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks, knowing what was about to come.

“EXACTLY!”
The girl yelled out in rage, her hands clenched into a fists and her face turned into an ominous red.
With that, all four launched themselves at Elsa. Screams and Cries of pain echoed throughout the room, one was tugging forcefully on Elsa’s hair; one ripped part of her shirt off while the other two kept hitting her with sheer force.
Cries of agony escaped Elsa’s mouth each time she was beaten. The girl chuckled evilly, enjoying the pain. Whereas, the other three just went along with her commands and continued the torture. Their hearts sank lower and lower, a sense of shame and frustration overwhelming their mind.

“Finish her…”
the girl ordered.
They were hesitant at first. Given the smallest of opportunity to escape, Elsa made a dash. Adrenaline pulsing through her veins, with each step she threw herself forward.
A figure ‘ghosted’ to her front.

“Please…just let me go”
Elsa pleaded. The other girl was in a contradictory state. Deep down she knew she wanted to let Elsa live yet also afraid that her attempt of murder would be exposed to the police.
Making use of the other girl’s distraction, Elsa did a somersault and flying kick to her stomach.

Just in time, she used her hands and blocked the attack, twisting Elsa’s leg in the process.
Elsa recovered fast, coming strong with another attack. She spun around and kicked the other girl in the chest, knocking the air from her.

The other girl staggered a few steps back, panting heavily and dripping with sweat. Elsa made one last attack, she charged towards the other girl in full speed. Just then, the girl pulled out a hidden dagger and stabbed it into Elsa’s stomach.

She gasped in shock, her eyes wide and all colour drained from her face. The excruciating pain surging through her body, was strong enough to numb other senses.

Instinctively, her hands went to her stomach and clutched it tightly. Blood was gushing out uncontrollably, hence losing blood at a high rate.

She fell onto the ground, a pool of crimson red forming beneath her limp body. The other girl stared at the ghastly sight, bending down, she whispered sincerely:
“Sorry…dear friend…”

And with her last breath,
“You’ll all pay for this…”
she snapped.
Her eyelids drooped down and her breathing slowed until a stop.
